BATTLE OF THE BADGES TO BENEFIT A GREAT CAUSE

 

WHO: Cliffside Park Police and Fire Departments; foundation formed in honor of slain teen

WHAT: Battle of the Badges softball game to benefit the Rebeka Verea Foundation

WHERE: W. Grantwood Playground, Oakden Ave., Cliffside Park, NJ

WHEN: Sunday, September 11, 1:00 p.m.


The Cliffside Park Police and Fire Departments will face-off in the annual Mayor’s Trophy Softball Game at the W. Grantwood Playground on Oakden Ave. in Cliffside Park, NJ at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11 to raise awareness for save driving among teens. Admission is free to the general public and hot dogs and water will be donated by Outback Steakhouse and Goya Foods INC.

Just 60 days after her death in a high speed car accident, grieving parents of 18 year-old Rebeka Verea unveiled a foundation in her memory to educate teens about safe driving and to prevent future tragedies.
